Pinoso ( Spanish: [pi?noso] ), officially El Pinós / Pinoso (in Catalan and Spanish ) is a traditional Spanish town which sits located in the mountainous countryside of the Alicante / Murcia border (at some 56 km from Alicante).

Pinoso has an official population of 7,300, this is likely a lot higher for a for a town of its size with many travellers and expats settling in the area.
Location
Located within the Valencia region, within the sub commundad of Alicante, around 40km in land from the costa brava. A 45 minute drive to Alicante airport or 40 minutes to Alicante. Pinoso has a municipal area of ??126 km2.
2020 onwards
Recently it has experienced a growth in tourism: since the coast line has virtually no more room for new residentials, these are moving inland into the province.
