One of the best things this country has to offer is its wine with the majority of its countryside filled with vinyards.
There are quite a few local bodegas, some offering wine tasting tours for those wine connoisseurs or just for those you would like to try some of the local wine.
Not every bodega has a tasting, but some do.

Bodegas Volver
In this bodega, they start their tour welcoming all with an audiovisual that shows the whole process of wine making, from picking the grapes to having them bottled. After, they will take you to the vineyards that surround the bodega to see all the different types of wine. From there, you will go into the bodega itself and see the table of selections of wines, barrels, etc.
From there you will move to a different room where a wine expert will be there for you to guide you through the wine tasting and explaining what is needed to make the best wine. .

Bodegas Francisco Gomez
This bodega may be a bit further away, but offers some great wine tours.
Visit their facilities and vineyards, feel the passion for the wines and enjoy the atmosphere of this fascinating culture.

This bodega is located at highway Villena - Pinoso (CV-813), km 8.8, Villena.
They offer various tours:
The wine lover route: A guided tour of the chapel, Bodega Square, vineyards, ageing cellar, bottling room, bottle storage cellar, the fondillon hermitage, the Wine Vault Club area, and olive oil museum.
Also a conducted tasting of 4 wines and 2 olive oils, accompanied by a tasting of Iberian charcuterie made at the estate.
The wine lover route - Sparkling wine collection "Queen of Kings"
A guided tour of the chapel, Bodega Square, vineyards, ageing cellar, bottling room, bottle storage cellar, the fondillon hermitage, the Wine Vault Club area, and olive oil museum.
Also a conducted tasting of 3 sparkling wines accompanied by a tasting of Iberian charcuterie made at the estate.
Prices:
€15 per adult over 16years / €12 for people between 12-15years. Ring for group discounts.
The bodega tour is 45 minutes and the tasting is another 45 minutes.

The trivium wine route:
This premium tour offers the unique chance to visit the bodega and enjoy an exclusive tasting of the Trivium Collection range.
Included in the package: A guided tour of the chapel, Plaza de la Bodega, vineyards, bottling room, bottle storage cellar, the fondillon hermitage, the Wine Vault Club area and the olive oil museum.
Also, a tasting of the 4 wines making up the Trivium collection range and olive oil produced from 1.000-year-old olive trees & a tasting of Iberian charcuterie made and cured at the estate.

Bodegas Pinoso
A guided 2-hour long visit to the areas where the grapes are taken in and fermented, the storage warehouses, barrel rooms and wine tasting rooms.
Throughout the visit, the red, rosado & white winemaking processes will be explained and there will be a wine tasting session with 4 wines and a light aperitivo.
Minimum groups of 10 people. The tours can be in Spanish or English.
