The Famous Isla Magica In Seville

In 1992, the Universal Exhibition of Seville was the turning point of the Seville city because of its international exposure. This event left enormous, and new urban space and infrastructures that were transformed to Isla Magica.

It was opened in 1997 for the first time, the first urban theme park in the world became the city's focal point. It was not successful as expected at first, but today it is among one of the most visited tourist destinations. This spot in Spain has something to offer for all age groups.

The Isla Mágica is a theme park that is situated on the Isla de la Cartuja. It occupies significant space on the banks of the Guadalquivir river, the site of the Universal Exhibition of Seville, held in 1992.

What is Isla Magica?

Isla Mágica is located in that area which was home to the Spanish pavilions. It makes use of some of the spots specially built for the remarkable international events, which are spread around a large lake.

Since then, this theme park has sought to continue with the theme of the World's Fair: Age of Discovery. Different Latin American cultures and transoceanic voyages grab a lot of attraction of visitors and explorers.

Isla Magica has six themed areas, including which is Aqua Magica. Aqua Magica is a water park with several slides and pools, one of which has the wave. Aqua Mágica is a separate park but is located within the Isla Mágica complex.

The themed areas of Isla Mágica

Besides the recreation, it is also known to be an educational space. This thing explains why its themed areas are centred on different chapters relating to discovery and the long voyages that provide connection to the other continents of the world. These six themed areas are as follows:

1. El Dorado

Among the six themed areas in the Isla Magica, El Dorado is the last area. It was an incredible recreation of the lost history when British and Spanish explorers ran ragged trying to find.

2. Puerta de América

It is based around the Fuerte de San Felipe. This themed area among six areas also has a replica of Cartagena de Indias's ancient and historic city.

3. Amazonía

It has the biggest rainforest on the entire planet. Its atmosphere is humid and lush every moment. This area acts as the habitat for jaguars. Incredible Iguazú Falls are also spotted in this theme area.

4. Sevilla, Puerto de Indias

Reflecting the city's atmosphere in the sixteenth century, it first became the leading port linking Spain to the Latin American colonies. Europe is so-called the gateway to the New World.

5. La Fuente de la Juventud

La Fuente de la Juventud is specially designed for the youngest children. It has a broad series of ponds and streams. Various critters and other living organisms inhabit this area.

6. La Guarida de los Piratas

This area recreates the period in which corsairs and pirates roam freely in the waters of the Caribbean Sea.
