Coming up in Pinoso… 1st
– 8th of August
Whether you live in
town or not, it’s something to do. There is a bit of everything going on, from
bull running, to a large fairground, food stalls to restaurants, bars to
barracas.
You can have a chilled evening, or you can have a wild one. In this
town, you can have both! There are things for all ages, stalls for kids and
adults, even fairground rides for those grownups who love a thrill. If you’re a
food lover, this town is great for you. Apart from the lovely typical Spanish
bars and restaurants, there are a couple of English restaurants, an Indian
restaurant and a Chinese one too. So, the choice is all yours. But, in
fiestas, there’s nothing like going into town and checking out all the lovely
Spanish bars and their specialities. Some you may have to book a table for, but
some will manage to sort something out for you.
Here I will let you
know some of the events that will be going on, but no doubt every day during the
fiesta period, there will something going on somewhere.
Bull running
It’s not everybody’s ideal way to spend an
afternoon, but for some it is. You can either join in with running with them,
or you can just sit back and watch. Here are the times it’s on:
@ Recinto Catalina (On the road that goes
past Dia and the school)
27th /
28th of July, 6 pm – 8 pm
1st to
the 8th of August, 6 pm – 8 pm
And a reminder for
everyone, you must be over 16 to enter the run.
Barracas
(Best description would be “outdoor nightclub”).
For those who like a party and a good time,
these are something to check out!
27th /
28th of July, 2 am until morning.
1st to
the 8th of August, 2 am until morning.
Being a nightclub, it
is 18s and over.
Stalls and fairground
Here
you will find a bit of everything for all ages to do. There are toy stalls,
food stalls, games, etc. And a large fairground with rides for little kids to
older ones.
1st to
the 8th of August. 9 pm onwards
Restaurants and bars
All restaurants and bars will open during this period. Have a nose around and see what they have to
offer. They will be different. They normally offer a set menu, or you can just
have a few tapas or a nice sandwich. Even to just relax and have a drink, they
won’t mind. You may have to book depending on what time and day it is as they might be
busy. All the restaurant staff are so accommodating so they will fit you in if they can .
If you’re on holiday
or live here, these fiestas are worth going to. In the day there is normally
something going on, if you can’t find anything, check out some of the
surrounding towns and countryside. It’s a beautiful area. Pinoso offers a
public swimming pool too if you love a good dip. Check out some of the parks
and local shops, they have a lot to offer.
And most importantly, enjoy these times and be
in the Spanish ‘fiesta' mood!
